Made-to-measure New Work concept for Veolia

A future-oriented working environment has been created in Hamburg's HafenCity, for Veolia Umweltservice GmbH. A made-to-measure New Work concept that meets the company's individual requirements for energy, water and waste disposal solutions, and which sets new workspace standards at Veolia, has been implemented on around 4,800 square metres over five floors in the modern EDGE HafenCity office building.

The project goal was to create an open, communicative working environment to encourage collaborative working, exchange of knowledge and well-being. Cooperation with neotares Consult and Kirsch & Lütjohann resulted in a flexible multi-space concept that combines a clear structure with diverse application potential. A total of around 250 workstations, as well as agile meeting rooms, retreats and a spacious bistro area, were furnished with high-quality solutions from Sedus.

Flexible spaces for the modern work culture

The office space offers both fixed workstations and flexible areas for different work situations – from focused individual work to creative teamwork and spontaneous meetings. An open architecture with plenty of natural light, easy access walkways and a well-thought-out workplace strategy creates a perfect balance between communication and retreat.

Single workstations

Team workstations

Design accents with character and function

The uncluttered space in the building with its clean lines and exposed concrete walls is interspersed with orange colour accents to form a striking and unifying design element and create an inspiring atmosphere. This design story is consistently reflected in the room structure, furnishings and choice of materials.

A participatory planning process

neotares Consult involved Veolia employees in the design process right from the concept phase through workshops, visualisations and open communication. It was therefore possible to come up with a workplace design that is optimally tailored to Veolia's needs. As you might expect, the feedback from employees has been consistently positive – the new working environment makes a noticeable contribution to improving collaboration, communication and general well-being.
