    BEN & JERRY'S
Create value: economical and social
"We’re a social justice company that happens to sell ice cream. Not the other way around. Our whole motto is how we can positively impact society". Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream’s philosophy as expressed by one of its founders is based on a triple mission:
- to make, distribute and sell the finest quality all natural ice cream pro- moting business practices that respect the Earth and the environment; - to operate on a sustainable financial basis of profitable growth, in- creasing value for the stakeholders and expanding opportunities for the employees;
- to operate in a way that actively recognises the central role that busi- ness plays in society by initiating innovative ways to improve the quality of life locally, nationally and internationally.
In doing so the company takes part in many programs and social initia- tives which allow employees to participate in their working hours and using the firm's own resources.

GOOGLE GARAGE
Spaces and tools for creativity
Google Garage is the space where the company sends employees who are involved in innovation projects and where they find an environment that encourages their creativity and allows them to experiment, explore ideas and develop potential solutions to the challenges they identify. Google Garage is designed as a real co-working space, with people working side by side influencing each other and sharing ideas from dif- ferent perspectives.
The space is completely reconfigurable: in fact all the furniture is on wheels and all surfaces are writeable and usable for sketching ideas or taking notes.
This freedom of use and the flexibility of the space makes Google Ga- rage the most advanced model for innovation spaces, which can help people generate new projects and discuss and collaborate with others.
